One Dish Spaghetti

This easy spaghetti recipe will fill the house with delicious aromas as it simmers.

Cooking time about one hour, plus about 15 minutes preparation.

Sauce:

1 pound ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves
8 oz. tomato sauce
6 oz. tomato paste
1 1/2 cups tomato juice
1 1/2 cup water
1/2 - 1 tsp chili powder
2 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp oregano

Brown the meat, add other ingredients, simmer for 30 minutes.

Add 8 oz of spaghetti, simmer for 30 more minutes.

(optional) Add some slivered green pepper in the last five minutes.

Just before serving: Sprinkle with 1/2 - 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese.

Other pasta can be substituted for the spaghetti. Try some fun shapes for the kids!
