Delicious in potato salad or in cucumber sandwiches, and more economical than than store-bought mayonnaise.
This salad dressing recipe was handed down from my grandmother, and now my kids enjoy it too.
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp flour
1 tsp salt
4 tsp dry mustard
3 eggs
1 cup vinegar
1 cup water
Mix dry ingredients in a double boiler. Add beaten eggs; mix in well. Add vinegar and water, then heat over double boiler and stir until the mixture thickens.
This salad dressing recipe can also be cooked in the microwave as long as you stir it several time while it cooks.
